FAQ
Straight answers, including the awkward ones.
If a question is missing, register interest and ask it directly — honest questions help shape the research design.
Is the Lab funded, hosted or approved yet?
No. The initiative is in a development and partnership-building phase. It is not currently university-hosted, funded, ethics-approved, formally partnered or endorsed. This site describes a product and research design and invites interest in future collaboration.
Does registering interest guarantee a place in the pilot?
No. Registering interest is a low-commitment expression of interest. It does not guarantee participation, and any selection involves human review — scores and assessments are decision support only.
Will you tell me which AI tools to buy?
The Lab is vendor-neutral. We study outcomes rather than promoting any particular model, cloud or supplier, and participation carries no obligation to purchase any product or service.
What data would you collect, and how is it protected?
We separate operational, research and anonymised data layers, use versioned consent per purpose, and keep private materials in restricted storage. Final legal basis, consent wording and retention require the appropriate institutional and data-protection process before any live research.
What happens if an intervention does not work?
Unsuitable, cancelled and unsuccessful interventions are recorded as findings. The research is designed to learn from non-adoption and failure, not to assume every intervention succeeds.
Are the pilot figures a funded commitment?
No. Cohort size, duration, sector mix and any budget figures are a working configuration, subject to academic host, funder and recruitment discussions. They are not a guaranteed, funded programme.
